Our Green Story

Sustainability and environmental impact has always been at the forefront of our journey at The Falcon Inn and influences every business decision that we make, from menu creation to sourcing our electricity.

In 2021 we joined Zellar, an online platform to track our sustainability journey and document the changes that we have made to our business. You can view our online profile here

In May 2023, we signed up to the Green Tourism Scheme, which actively promotes businesses that are making an active difference to their working practices to provide a sustainable and environmentally friendly business. The scheme educates us and guides us in areas to improve on, and helps us to make better informed decisions. We have been awarded our Bronze award, with particular mention toward guest and staff wellbeing, and promoting local food and drink.

Our Suppliers

Locally sourced, seasonal sustainable produce is at the heart of our core values when it comes to menu creation. We use a range of local and nationwide suppliers to ensure the best quality local produce is always at hand and always at its best!

Accent Fresh, Fruit and Vegetable Purveyor - Downham Market

We have been working with Accent Fresh since February 2023. Everything is delivered in reusable plastic crates, which are returned on the following delivery ready to be reused. There is no excessive packaging and everything is sourced locally
